About Buying
- Where do I download my purchase?
After purchase, download from your Library. - Can I download my purchased files as many times as I want?
Yes. For one-time purchases, you can re-download anytime from your Library. For subscription products, you can download for as long as your subscription is active. - Where can I find my license key?
After purchasing a product that uses license keys, the key appears on the product's detail page in your Library. The number of keys and the number of devices each key can activate are listed on the product page. - What happens if I run out of device activations?
You can deactivate unused devices from your Library. Deactivating a device frees up an activation for another device. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please contact Support. - Can products with license activation be used offline?
Yes. After activation the product stores a signed license locally, so it keeps working without an internet connection. As an anti-fraud measure, an automatic online re-check is required roughly every 14 days (at most once every ~30 days). With a normal internet connection this happens automatically and needs no action. - What payment methods can I use?
We accept credit and debit cards. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details are never stored on OtoMarket's servers. - Where can I find receipts or my purchase history?
You can check your Order History from your account. - Can I get a refund?
Because these are digital products, we generally can't accept returns or cancellations for buyer's remorse. We handle cases like duplicate or clearly mistaken charges individually. See our Refund Policy for details. - What happens when I cancel a product subscription?
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You can keep using and downloading the product until the end of your current billing period. After that, you'll no longer be able to download from your Library, and license activations for products with license keys will also be deactivated. There are no prorated refunds for cancelling mid-period. - What's the difference between a membership and a product subscription?
A product subscription is a monthly plan for using a specific product. A membership is a monthly or yearly plan for supporting a creator, giving you access to plan-specific perks like exclusive posts and bonus products. - What happens if a subscription's price changes while I'm subscribed?
Price increases don't apply to existing subscribers — you keep the price you subscribed at. Price decreases are applied automatically starting from your next renewal. - What happens when a product I purchased is updated?
When a new version is published, you can download the latest version from your Library.
About Selling
- How do I sell as a creator?
Submit an application first. After admin approval, creator tools become available. See the Creator Guide for details. - What are the selling fees?
Buyouts and product subscriptions use a base 10% platform fee (which varies by fee tier and product settings) plus payment processing costs. Memberships alone use a flat 5% platform fee. Processing costs are 3.6% of the actual payment for buyouts and 3.6% + ¥40 for recurring charges. See the Seller Terms for details on applicable rates. - When and how do I receive my earnings?
Earnings are finalized 30 days after each order. Once your finalized balance reaches ¥1,000, you can request a payout. After approval, funds are transferred via Stripe to your registered bank account. - Is every product reviewed?
A creator's first product is reviewed before it goes live. Once a creator has a proven track record, their later products and updates can publish without review, backed by post-publication audits. - Can I sell a product as a subscription without using the license key feature?
Yes. Subscribers can download from their Library only while their subscription is active. Note that only products with license activation built in can be technically blocked from use after cancellation — for other products, access is limited to stopping downloads after the period ends. - Do I need to implement anything in my product to use licensing? (for sellers)
You can choose per product from two levels. 1) Key issuing only: enable it in the product settings and a key is issued automatically per buyer (no implementation; serves as proof of purchase). 2) SDK integration: integrate activation via the C++/JUCE or JavaScript/TypeScript SDK, or the REST API, to control device limits, expiry, and revocation. No license server of your own is needed. See the license integration guide for details. - Can I sell an existing plugin or sound library that has no license activation? (for sellers)
Yes. With key issuing only, no changes to your product are needed — the key works as proof of purchase for support. You can integrate the SDK later to switch to enforced activation. - How do device limits work? (for sellers)
Sellers set the number of devices each license can activate (1–100) per product. Each activation records a per-device identifier, and once the limit is reached new devices cannot activate. Buyers can purchase multiple licenses in one order; each key activates independently up to the configured limit. - Who handles buyer inquiries? (for sellers)
OtoMarket handles payments, orders, refunds, accounts, downloads, and issues with the license activation system, and is also the first point of contact. Questions about the product itself — content, behavior, usage — are handled by the seller. When the split isn't clear, OtoMarket triages first and coordinates with you.
